The Chumukedima Town Council (CTC), established in 2005, has been a citizen-centric body since inception. It has been continuously working to improve its services and serve the public in a better way.
With the increasing rate of development, the workload has also increased and this is the point where technology has to step in to streamline the erstwhile manual works such as booking of community halls, registration of trade licenses, issue of residential certificate. The CTC in its endeavour to improve its public service has introduced a custom Management Information System (MIS) to provide e-services to the general public which will improve its operational efficiencies and reduce service delivery times. This new technology is in line with the e-Governance push by the Government of India.
The introduction of e-services will enable the CTC to reduce its service delivery times, reduce errors and remove the risk of loss of documents since these records will stored in virtual storage. The e-services will be provided for the following services:
i, Booking of Cess Pool/ Hall
ii, Registration of Trade License
iii, Online Request for Residential Certificate
Public users will be able to avail these services through the CTC web portal after filling in the relevant details/uploading documents, etc. and submitting it. These requests will then be verified, processed and released by the CTC.
